Heath Harmon Takes The Wheel.
Heath Harmon, former principal of Oxford High School, has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Alabama High School Athletic Association after an extensive search lasting close to two months. The official announcement of Harmon's new role was made during the AHSAA's Central Board meeting held in Montgomery on Thursday.
Bringing with him a wealth of experience in education and athletics, Harmon transitions to the AHSAA from his position as principal of Oxford, which he has held since 2017. A graduate of Jacksonville State University, Harmon kickstarted his career in education as an assistant football coach and has accumulated over a decade of experience as a head football coach. Throughout his career, Harmon has made coaching stops at White Plains, Andalusia, Munford, and Cordova, showcasing his leadership and expertise in the realm of high school sports.
